After inspiring Argentina to win the World Cup in 1986 he became a God-like figure in Naples when he led the club to their first ever Serie A title in 1986/87 and then another in 1989/90. S.C.C. Barcelona Sporting Club is the most successful football team in Ecuador, having won the Serie A title a record 16 times, most recently in 2020. They have also won six regional titles (five in the professional era), and were the first Ecuadorian club to make it to the Copa Libertadores finals, making it twice, but lost on both occasions. Each side will play its group opponents and the top two will each advance.
